I Am Constantly Being Transfigured

If I have raced with men on foot and they have tired me out, then how can I compete with horses? And if I take to flight in a land of peace where I feel secure, then what will I do when I tread the tangled maze of jungle haunted by lions in the swelling and flooding of the Jordan?
[Adapted from Jeremiah 12:5]

God, help me grow up in every way and in all things into You Who are the Head, even Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One.
[Adapted from Ephesians 4:15]

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.
[Psalm 51:10]

God, help me not be conformed to this world, fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs, but to be transformed by the entire renewal of my mind - by its new ideals and its new attitude - so that I may prove for myself what is Your good and acceptable and perfect will, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in Your sight for me.
[Adapted from Romans 12:2]

I have really heard Him and been taught by Him. All Truth is in Jesus embodied and personified in Him. I strip myself of my former nature, putting off and discarding my old unrenewed self which characterized my previous manner of life, and I am constantly renewed in the spirit of my mind, having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude. I put on the new nature, the regenerate self, created in God's image - Godlike in true righteousness and holiness.
[Adapted from Ephesians 4:21-24]

I have stripped off my old unregenerate self with its evil practices, and have clothed myself with a new spiritual self, which is ever in the process of being renewed and remolded into fuller and more perfect knowledge upon knowledge after the likeness of Him Who created it.
[Adapted from Colossians 3:9-10]

I am a citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also I earnestly and patiently await the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior, Who will transform and fashion anew the body of my humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself.
[Adapted from Philippians 3:20-21]

All of us, as with unveiled face, because we continued to behold in the Word of God as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord Who is the Spirit. I am constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another.
[Adapted from 2 Corinthians 3:18]

You Are My Hope

I wait and hope for and expect the Lord; I am brave and of good courage and my heart is stout and enduring. Yes, I wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.
[Adapted from Psalm 27:14]

I will come forward and draw near with a true, honest and sincere heart, in unqualified assurance and absolute conviction engendered by faith - by leaning my entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness - and my heart will be sprinkled and purified from a guilty conscience and my body cleansed with pure water. I will seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope I cherish and confess, and my acknowledgment of it, for He Who promised is reliable, sure and faithful to His word.
[Adapted from Hebrews 10:22-23]

For You are my hope; O Lord God.
[Psalm 71:5]

If I Keep On Asking

If I keep on asking, it will be given me; if I keep on seeking I will find; if I keep on knocking reverently, the door will be opened to me. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened.
[Adapted from Matthew 7:7-8]

I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in me will continue until the day of Jesus Christ - right up to the time of His return, developing that good work and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in me.
[Adapted from Philippians 1:6]

Lord, help my heart and courage endure and help my hands be strong in the days that You deal with me.
[Adapted from Ezekiel 22:14]

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me - I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency.
[Philippians 4:13]

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.
[Psalm 138:8]

I Can Depend on Him

God is faithful, reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and I can depend on Him; by Him I was called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ my Lord.
[Adapted from 1 Corinthians 1:9]

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.
[Proverbs 30:5]

I know Your Name, I have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy, and I will lean on and confidently put my trust in You, for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.
[Adapted from Psalm 9:10]

I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!
[Psalm 91:2]

God Himself has said, He will not in any way fail me nor give me up nor leave me without support. He will not, He will not, He will not in any degree leave me helpless nor forsake nor let me down, nor even relax His hold on me!
[Adapted from Hebrews 13:5]

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried. He is a Shield to all those who trust and take refuge in Him. For who is God but the Lord? And who is a Rock except our God?
[2 Samuel 22:31-32]

I give myself up to Him, taking myself out of my own keeping and entrusting myself into His keeping.
[Adapted from Acts 16:31]

A Light to My Path

I am the redeemed of the Lord, and I say so.
[Adapted from Psalm 107:2]

I do not know what to do, but my eyes are upon Him.
[Adapted from 2 Chronicles 20:12]

He knows the thoughts and plans that He has for me, and they are thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give me hope in my final outcome.
[Adapted from Jeremiah 29:11]

My mind plans my way, but the Lord directs my steps and makes them sure.
[Adapted from Proverbs 16:9]

His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
[Adapted from Psalm 119:105]

Many plans are in my mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for me that will stand.
[Adapted from Proverbs 19:21]

He will bring me by a way that I know not; He will lead me in paths that I have not known. He will make darkness into light before me and make uneven places into a plain. He has determined to do this for me; He will not leave me forsaken.
[Adapted from Isaiah 42:16]

A woman might forget her nursing child, and yet He will not forget me. He has indelibly imprinted and tattooed a picture of me on the palm of each of His hands; I am continually before Him.
[Adapted from Isaiah 49:14-16]

I have a personal knowledge of His mercy, love, and kindness-- I trust and rely on Him, knowing He will never forsake me, no, never.
[Adapted from Psalm 91:14]

I will cry to God Most High, Who performs on my behalf and rewards me. He brings to pass His purposes for me and surely completes them!
[Adapted from Psalm 57:2]
